Our Pastors

Pastor Mike and Debbie met in high school. . Even while dating in high school, they both knew the call of God on their lives was profound. From their youth, they were mutually committed to the full-time ministry and have served in ministry their whole married life.

Pastor Mike and Debbie attended Rhema Bible Training College are licensed Assemblies of God Ministers. Together Pastor Mike and Debbie have served in full time ministry since 1982. They have two grown children, Matthew who resides in Asheville and Lindsey and her husband, Cole reside in San Francisco. At the young age of 24, Pastor Mike became the Senior Pastor of Crossroads (formerly West Asheville Assembly) in 1984. Pastor Mike brings to Crossroads Assembly visionary leadership, practical, energetic, inspirational, and insightful preaching. His colloquial style is born of his rich mountain heritage. Many times his messages are conversational, illustrative and humorous. His heart is to love God’s people as a shepherd and to lead each person into God’s highest purpose for their lives.

Pastor Mike attended Mars Hill College, Rhema Bible Training Center, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He was recently awarded a Doctorate at Gordon-Conwell in Family and Marriage Counseling.
